Q: how do you change the digital dash display on the 1984 Buick Grand National from metric to english?
The only button on the cluster just resets the odometer(trip) when in start up, the cluster cycles in eng and metric, so i know it can be done.
A: There should be a Metric/MPH button to reset, my Buick does.
Q: 1984 buick regal & grand national?
I have a 1984 Buick Regal with the same 3.8l 231 c.i. engine in Grand National. Does that mean that if I put a turbocharger on my engine that I would get the same performace specs as the Grand National?
A: close to it, in my experience as a mechanic, just swap the turbo system over and you may have to make some body mods but you may have a littl emore power due to the slack regal had to make up
Q: What are the best exhausts for 84′ Grand National?
Its a 1984 Buick Grand National, with side exhausts. I want to increase the power by as much as I can without spending alot and getting crazy.
A: Oh man, you have one great car. Congratulations! IMHO a classic like that should kept as close to stock as possible. That will keep the value up and as you know, that Buick had power right from the factory.
Please take care of it and enjoy it.
Q: What did you think when the Buick Grand National came out?
I’m just curious what some of you muscle car guys thought when the least likely company (Buick) came out with a car faster than a Corvette in 1984. Were you like “oh my god, are you serious?”
A: It was one sweet vehicle to say the least and I still have one customer that has one in storage that has about 3000 miles on it, guess he is just waiting for someone with some serious bucks…..
Q: are 1984-87 buick regals good cars? (basic models v6, not grand nationals)?
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: is a 1984-87 buick regal a good first car?
its not a grand national but can be made a quick car, and good gas mileage with the v6
A: you bet your noony it is! car has a full frame great for those “im a new driver” dents and dings. these cars were very very safe. good and heavy too. not aerodynamically stable over 130 mph though. still made of metal too so it has great ramming capabilities. i dont recommend it but it does support trailer hitches. as for the motor, well its a buick V6. nuthing needs to be said. best V6 motors ever invented. BAR NONE! slap a turbine/intercooler on it and you have the fastest living room ever made. those turbocharged grenades still blow the doors off most all cars made today! and get over 20 mpg doing it! buy it man, and go eat some vettes!
Q: is this grand national real or fake?

A: yea its real just u shoulndt get a automatic turbocharged car unless its luxury of course… but its real and i think u should probably find one thats either 4 spd manual or 5spd manual with turbo and lower miles…
